Conrido, known as Connor in the barn, is a charming 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding with a heart of gold and a serious love for snacks. He’s ridden by Addison Slye, who trains at Holly Hill Farm.
Connor is the kind of horse who makes an impression the moment you meet him. He has a warm, affectionate personality and is always looking to be close—resting his head gently on your shoulder is his love language. And if you’re holding a snack? Don’t be surprised if he tries to steal it—especially if it’s his favorite, Snaks 5th Avenchew. Let’s just say he’s never met a treat he didn’t like.
Together, Addison and Connor have built a partnership rooted in trust and celebration. One of their most unforgettable memories came in 2023, when they won the 15 & Under 3’3” Large Junior Hunter at the National Horse Show. That magical moment was followed by another milestone just one year later: winning the same division at the 2024 Pennsylvania National Horse Show—a dream come true for Addison.
But Connor’s journey with the Slye family started long before those championship moments. He was originally Addison’s mom’s Adult Hunter, and after a couple of years, Addison took the reins. Now, four years into their story together, it’s clear that Connor was meant to be part of the family.
Addison’s love for horses started before she could even ride. “Ever since I could talk, I talked about horses,” she says. She began riding at just 3 years old and got her first pony at 6. From that moment forward, horses have been at the center of her world.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
