Luke, Bay Society, is a beautiful 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding. Luke is ridden by Clayton Tiedeman, who trains at MDS Farm under the guidance of Melinda Sise in Milton, Georgia.
Luke is full of personality—he’s goofy, playful, and always on the lookout for attention. “When I first got him, he seemed really chill and laid-back,” says Clayton, “but after a few months, his hilarious personality started to come out.”
One of the funniest moments? “He once jumped the fence into the neighboring pasture just to go play with the horse next to him,” Clayton laughs. But Luke isn’t all mischief—he’s also a fierce competitor. “One of my favorite memories is going to Devon for the first time, for both of us. We scored in the 80s and it was such a special moment.”
Clayton discovered Luke on Big Eq and had seen him showing before. After connecting with him in person, it didn’t take long to know he was the one. They’ve now been a team for almost two years.
His favorite treat? Nature Valley Granola Bars!

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
