Rex, Remember Romance, is ridden by Taylor Matalon who rides at Falcon Ridge Stables with trainer Sharon Enteen Prusso.

Rex is incredibly sweet—even if he’s known to gently nibble while searching for snacks. He loves his naps and is happiest when curled up resting. One of the most special things about him is how comfortable he is around people; he’ll even let you sit beside him during his naps and sometimes roll over to lay right on top of you!

He’s created so many unforgettable memories with his rider—from earning their first 3rd place overall ribbon at Junior Hunter Finals, to leading the nation, winning their first indoors tricolor, and moving up to the 3’6” division. He walks into every ring with heart and tries his best every single time. He’s not just a partner—he’s a teammate that wants to win just as much as his rider does.

They first tried Rex a year and a half ago, and after six months of convincing, he came home following the 2023 Pennsylvania National Horse Show.

Their favorite treat? Bananas!

Taylor has been riding for five years and began showing at indoors just last year. Her favorite part of horse ownership is building connections and forming strong bonds with each horse she rides.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
