Texas Equine Photographer | Jubilee the Thoroughbred
Jubilee, Charming Clover, is a Thoroughbred Mare. She is by Trampoline out of St. Paddy’s Prospect. Jubilee lives at Austin Equestrian Center.
Jubilee is such a special horse. Prior to coming to live with Laure, her owner, she had a racing career with top finishes including a win. She was even a mounted patrol horse, she worked a motorcycle rally and Mardi Gras in Galveston. She has had lots of different types of training and is constantly surprising Laura with things that she knows. She even bows for treats!
The pair trains with Catherine Campbell and does Western Dressage. Laura’s favorite thing about riding her is how responsive she is. Laura says, “It’s what I imagine driving a sports car on city streets would be like.”
“I found Jubilee through Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. I have had her for one year now. The first time I met her was in a fellow Bluebonnet adopter’s field. I test rode her and they sent us home with fresh farm eggs!”
When I asked Laura to describe Jubilee in one word she said Fast, both mentally and physically.
“My favorite memory of Jubilee is the first time we went on a (very brief) run together. The rush of a happy, sound thoroughbred accelerating forward is pretty great! Watching her run in turnout is pretty awesome too. She stretches out until you think she’s going to snap and then curls up into a tiny ball of energy and springs out again!”
