Meet MTM So Fly, “Sophie”, a 10-year-old British Riding Crosh Pony. Sophie is owned by the Rehme Family and ridden by Rome and Louisa Rehme. The sisters train at Westridge Farms with Christine Rishell. They also show Nautiqua and Brookfield. Sophie is a sweet red bay mare with a small white star and 3 white socks.

“I think my favorite memory of Sophie would be the first time I rode her in Ocala Florida at the new WEC facility. I was riding all three of our horses because my sister broke her arm. I had a lot of fun learning all my courses and running from arena to arena. It was also a great experience because I had never ridden in the pony division since I typically ride my horse, Ellie. Also, I was Reserve Champion twice in a row! We had a lot of fun!”, shares Rehme.

Rehme says, “When we first got her she had this strange deathly fear of cows. There was a pasture of cows behind our property so she would freak out in the crossties and I had to tack her up in the barn.” Thankfully she’s gotten a bit more comfortable with the cows.

Sophie is very picky about her treats. She won’t eat human food and she prefers plain horse treats.

Sophie has made many incredible accomplishments including Zone Seven Reserve Champion Horse of the Year in her division.

Louisa and her sister Rome both share a love for horses and riding. Since getting their first horse in 2018, they now have added to the bunch and have many. The two share that one of their favorite things about owning horses is getting to know each of their personalities and creating relationships with teammates.
