Luca is full of personality—he loves getting his belly scratched and will twist and contort himself in the most entertaining ways just to help you find the perfect spot. At home, he prefers to conserve his energy, but once the buzzer goes off in the ring, he knows it’s game time. Fast, clear, and focused, Luca truly understands the sport. He’s also incredibly gentle with little kids, happily soaking up all the attention (and endless treats) they offer.
Alyson and Luca have been partners for three years. She first tried him at HITS, where he impressed her by jumping her right out of the tack at every fence—she knew he was something special.
Their favorite treat? Nutri-Grain bars!
Alyson has been riding since grade school. For her, horses have always been more than just a sport—they’re an escape. Riding clears her mind like nothing else. Her favorite part of equestrian life? The powerful life lessons the sport teaches when approached with heart and integrity.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
