Leonardo van het Maarlo is a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood who is owned and loved by Jaime. The pair trains with Nicki at Copper Hill Show Jumpers in Austin, TX.

Leo is an impressive copper-toned bay gelding with a beautiful blaze and the softest nose. He loves grassy paddocks, carrots, and watching everything around him.  He always has his head out of the stall looking around.  He also loves to nuzzle and is soft and sweet. Leo is a super kind soul who is fast and fun to ride. Jaime’s favorite thing about Leo is that he can do anything. In California, she would ride him all through the town of Woodside and up into the national parks and through the redwoods. 

Did you know that horses usually gallop at around 27 mph, but the fastest recorded sprinting speed of a horse was 55 mph.
