Leo Lamour, is a beautiful Holsteiner gelding full of personality. Sofia Hughes keeps him at Breckenridge Manor in Virginia Beach, VA, where she trains with Chris Wynne.
Leo is a total goofball! One of his signature quirks? After getting a treat, he loves to flap his lips and suck on his tongue—always good for a laugh around the barn. His playful nature and sweet heart make him a true favorite.
Sofia’s favorite memory with Leo came at this year’s Pennsylvania National Horse Show. It was her very first indoors competition, and the experience became even more unforgettable when she and Leo were named Grand Champions of the Children’s Hunter Division. A dream come true!
Leo joined Sofia’s life in June 2024 after her trainer found him, and the connection was instant. Since then, they’ve been an unstoppable team.
His favorite treat? Leo is all about the sweets—he loves candies and granola balls the most.
Sofia started riding at 8 years old after attending a summer horse camp—and she was hooked from day one. She’s been a horse owner for three years now, after previously leasing. Her favorite part of horse ownership is the deep bond that forms: “You build such a special connection in and out of the saddle.”

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
