SUSIE | 10 YEAR OLD MINI MARE | HOUSTON,TX

Susie, is a Mini Horse Mare. She lives in a barn full of full size horses at Red Shadow Ranch.

Although, she is a mini pony but she has lots of personality. Some may say that she actually has such a huge personality to make up for her small size. She goes out with the big mares. Although some people say that Mini’s can have a bit of an attitude, Susie is very sweet. She loves to be groomed and loved on.

She may be tiny but little kids can ride her, she has her own saddle and bridle. Amy acquired Susie from a friend who brought her horse to stay at Red Shadow Ranch, when her friend left, Susie stayed. If she could describe Susie in one word it would be Mighty.  Although Amy never thought I would have a mini pony, I think its safe to say that she doesn’t mind having the extra company around the barn.  She shares that her favorite memory of Susie is the first time they put a fly mask on her, she pretended that she could not see and was walking in circles and walked right into a tree. She eventually got used to it.

I think every barn needs a mini, because lets be honest horses are adorable, but a mini is just the greatest thing ever. How can you not smile when you walk into a barn and see a cute little head peaking over the barn doors.
