Contemp, Tempo, is an Oldenburg Stallion. He lives at Halcyon Hill LLC in Elizabethtown, KY with his owner and rider Karina.

This stallion is truly a once in a lifetime horse, and honestly after spending a few hours with him, he may be one of the kindest and best behaved stallions I have ever gotten to spend time with. Karina has done such an amazing job bringing this amazing horse up and I am so honored that I was able to photograph him.

Karina describes Tempo as her heart horse. Her beloved. Tempo is blind in his left eye, but having this disadvantage did not slow him down throughout his life or career. One of Karina’s favorite memories and most exciting accomplishments with Tempo, is making it all the way up to GP jumpers together, which was a first for both of them!

Tempo is a very passionate, personable, loving, and intelligent horse. Tempo has a playful side to him as well. He is definitely hot under the saddle, and loves to get up and go, but is oh-so-kind.
