Calvin, Concise, is a stunning Holsteiner gelding. He is ridden by Stella Cross, who rides at Kimberview Stables under the guidance of Troy Hendricks, and is leased through South Haven Farm.
Calvin is the sweetest horse with a confident charm—he knows he’s the best and carries himself like it. No matter the day, he always gives 100% when he steps into the ring, trying his heart out every time.
One of Stella’s favorite memories with Calvin came just weeks after they were paired. Despite having him for only a short time, the two qualified for Junior Hunter Finals—a huge milestone. They had a fantastic first JHF experience together, making it an especially meaningful moment in their journey.
Calvin arrived at the barn about six months ago to be sold. At the same time, Stella was searching for a junior hunter. The moment she sat on him, she knew he was the one. That first ride sealed the deal, and the rest is history.
His favorite treat? Twizzlers! Though he’s not picky—he pretty much loves anything you offer.
Stella has been riding for 10 years. She started her journey in the leadline at Devon at just 4 years old and hasn’t looked back since. With a passion for connecting with each horse’s unique personality, Stella cherishes the special bonds she creates along the way.
