Meet Cheyenne, the 10-year-old Black Labrador Retriever who has the kindest eyes and a face that once was all black and is now mixed with grey hairs all over, as well as on her paws. Cheyenne is owned and madly adored by Julia Milligan, owner, and rider of Lancaster Hill Stables in Celina, TX.

Julia adopted Cheyenne a year and a half ago from the DFW Lab Rescue. She was 9 years old at the time and they had a lot of trouble finding her a home given her age. Julia shares, “Old Labs have a special spot in my heart and I fell in love with her instantly. I could not imagine a better dog to have as my best friend and by my side at the horse shows. She loves all our adventures, water, and playing ball. She crosses her paws when she lays down and is always happy to speak and get pets.”

Cheyenne’s treat of choice is her alligator-shaped dental chews.

“I’ve been riding for 24 years and have been a professional for 7 years. I love the connections we form with each horse. They give their all to us. The feeling you get while riding cannot be compared to anything else and when riding, all your problems melt away.”, shares Julia.
