Meet Ch Picante, also known as “Woody”, who is a handsome 24-year-old American Saddlebred. Woody is a Chestnut gelding with a thin blaze down his face. He is owned and loved by Mallory Brown who trains at Vantage Point Farm in Tomball, TX.

Mallory’s trainer found Woody for her about a decade ago! Woody is from the West Coast. The pair have had so many memories made over the years, considering Mallory has owned Woody for about 10 years now. They have competed all over Texas together. Some girls get a car for their 16th Birthday, but not Mallory, she got Woody. 

Mallory shares how grateful she is for their time together over the years, “Woody has helped me grow as a rider and a person and I will forever be grateful for what we have accomplished together.” Woody loves to be in everyone’s business and absolutely loves a treat after every ride. Although he might be older, he never acts like it.

Woody’s favorite treats are peppermints.

Mallory has been riding horses since she was 8-year-old. Her mom won a set of lessons at her sister’s high school raffle, so she started taking lessons, and hasn’t looked back ever since!
