Favour De Fier, Fiero, is a 9-year-old Westphalian Gelding. His sire is LDB For Contest and his dam is Stutbuch 1, Celine. Fiero lives at Meadowcreek Farms in Towanda, KS, where owner and rider Lauren, trains with Haley Barrett.

Lauren’s favorite memory of Fiero is after having only had him for about 9 months, he had taken her on her first rated Circuit and instilled an abundance of confidence in her. Lauren currently practices hunter/jumpers with Fiero. Fiero is known to be a bit sassy and sometimes spacy. But he is very sweet on the ground! Lauren’s favorite thing about Fiero is his gorgeous blaze. Lauren decided to take a leap and purchase Fiero sight unseen from New Hampshire. 

Lauren had multiple looks throughout our session, this takes a super-star, which she was nothing short of. Neither was Fiero, so patient the whole time and just look at his perky little ears in all of their portraits. It can be hard to get the horses to focus at times, but thankfully I have mastered quite a few fun little tricks to get their attention while shooting, even including smoke bombs…yes, you read correctly.
