Badger Hilda, is a 22 year old sorrell mare Quarter Horse out of Badger Starlight and by Clarks Hilda. She lives at home with her owner Deana in Richmond, TX on the Baker Funny Farm.

At her farm she is the absolute best horse for someone who may not be too confident around horses. She is gentle and patient with her owner and lets her do anything to her. She is also a great momma duck for their silly mini donkey.
Hilda was purchased as a brood mare, they found her online on the AQHA website and have had her for 10 years. Deana explains, “She was a brood mare when my husband found and bought her. He had no idea that she was a perfect riding horse and that she was a ranch horse before she was retired to be a brood mare. Since the day he found that out, she has been a great companion and riding buddy. She is very calm and easy to handle. Without her, I would not be as far along as I am in my “getting over my fear” journey. She has become a hard keeper and was diagnosed with Cushings Disease but she is still a trooper and my heart horse, along with my precious Belgians.”
