Meet Q, a striking 2009 KWPN gelding by Zirocco Blue, bred in the Netherlands and now showing off his charisma at Brass Ring Farm with rider Laura Zachary.

Q isn’t just talented—he’s got a big personality and loves to shine in the spotlight. “He’s a total show-off in the ring,” Laura shares. And it’s no wonder—this horse has taken her to some of the most prestigious venues in the country, including WEF, Devon, Lake Placid, and now the Pennsylvania National Horse Show.

What makes Q truly special, though, is his role in Laura’s journey. “This horse took me back into the show ring after a very long break,” she says. “He’s been a wonderful partner, and I’m so grateful for him.”

Their story began unexpectedly. “One day, out of the blue, I got a call from Amber about this horse. I wasn’t even looking for one at the time, but when I tried him, I knew I wanted him.” That was two years ago—and the rest is history.

Q’s favorite treats? Apples and bananas—he absolutely loves them.

Laura shares, “I’ve been riding for more than 40 years, and I’ve loved horses my whole life.” With Q by her side, that lifelong passion continues to thrive.
