Wishy, Wishlea Star Song, is a beautiful 14-year-old Welsh Pony Cross. Wishy is ridden by Charlotte Morassutti, who trains with Samantha Schaefer, Kate Connover, and Haleigh Landrigan at Shadow Ridge.
Wishy is a calm, steady presence in the barn—but make no mistake, she likes her space! In her stall, she’s all about peace, quiet, and treats. One of her quirks? She swishes her tail while she’s showing—and that’s how you know she’s happy.
One of Charlotte’s favorite memories with Wishy happened at WEC Ocala in 2023. She was just 9 years old when she scored her first-ever 90 on Wishy in the outdoor ring. The day before, she had posted an 88 in the first round of the classic, and her 90 the next day brought her to a total of 178—winning the class! So far, Charlotte and Wishy have earned three 90s together in their over fences rounds, and Wishy has brought her A-game every single time they’ve shown.
Wishy has been part of Charlotte’s life for two years now through a lease, and their partnership keeps getting better and better.
Their favorite treat? Wishy loves whatever treats Charlotte’s dad brings—but she draws the line at sugar cookies!
Charlotte is 11 years old and competes in the small, medium, and large pony hunters. Her ponies are named Apple, Leroy, Sunny, and Bestie. Horses have been part of her life since she was two, inspired by her nana who shows in the 3’0″ Amateur Owner Hunters at WEF. Charlotte started lessons in Florida and has been hooked ever since. Her favorite thing about having ponies is building a bond with them—and spending every minute she can by their side.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica.
