Texas Equine Photographer | Nutter the Hanoverian

Nutter, Stardust RHR, is a Hanoverian Gelding. His sire is Sinatra Song, his dam is out of Wolkenstein II.  He was bred by Sharon Pike of Rockin Horse Ranch.

Nutter, owned by Ashley Shaw, is a joker. He has a strong, yet sensitive personality. He is a leader in the pasture and can be a bit bossy at times.  He has been a dressage horse his entire life and has excellent gaits. Although he can be a bit silly at times, is is very fun to ride.

Ashley bought him as a baby stallion, when she was 17. He showed very uphill transitions and active gaits and looked like a fun project. So, she decided to make this joker part of the family!

In true form, this big jokester loves to eat Alfalfa.

As a 3 year old Nutter won a 3 year old material class at the CTDS Bluebonnet show.

When Ashley left to ride in California she gave Nutter to her Mom, Jennifer Jarvis. He had an injury that resulted in shoulder Sweeney. He can still be uncomfortable at times, but Ashley’s Mom works with him to bring out his best. He tries hard, and although he may never compete again, he enjoys his time being ridden.

Ashley’s favorite memory of Nutter is taking him as a Stallion to show and having him show off! He definitely had the “it” factor in his presence which only came out more when he was around other horses!
