RENDITION | 7 YEAR OLD BELGIAN WARMBLOOD MARE | FLOWER MOUND, TX
Nutmeg, Rendition, is a Belgian warmblood mare. Nutmeg is out of Tiffany’s old junior jumper Try It. Nutmeg is trained and owned by Tiffany Lee with Tiffany Marie Lee Equestrian based out of Miller Farms in Flower Mound, Texas.

Nutmeg is a beautiful chestnut horse with one white sock on her hind leg. Tiffany explains that Nutmeg is like a human, and has even walked into her house at one point! Nutmeg also has the most explosive personality. Tiffany shares that Nutmeg loves people and “she can usually hear my voice from the other side of the farm. She will put her ears up and come walking right to the stall to find me or locate where I am. She lives right next to my bedroom window and greets me every morning by poking her nose on the window for treats. She’s truly a great example of becoming best friends with your animal. I think she would do just about anything for me. I can always count on her and I can predict her every move we’ve spent so much time together.”
Tiffany has had the luxury of knowing Nutmeg her whole life. Tiffany bred Nutmeg out of her old junior jumper Try It, and the pair is basically inseparable now.
When it comes to treats, Nutmeg has a clear favorite above all other snacks. The sweet mare can not resist a crunchy carrot. Whenever she sees the orange snack coming her way she can’t help but get giddy. It’s always a joy to watch Nutmeg indulge in her favorite treats and see the happiness it brings to her sweet little face.
Tiffany, the proud owner of Nutmeg got into horses when she was six years old. Tiffany explains that she has had “some very great trainers growing up and worked for a lot of great, influential people. I went off to college and got a full ride to Delaware State University to ride on their NCAA Division I Equestrian Team. I did get an accounting degree and became an auditor; but this is the life for me. It runs deep into our bones I think. I love being around the horses and the challenges they give us to make us better people in general. They are very humbling and always keep me centered. We now own a farm with Aubrey and Callen Miller (Miller Farms) and have a forever home there in Justin, TX. That was always the dream – I had no idea how I was going to get there, but I finally got there and I am so thankful for it.”
Nutmeg has achieved some amazing accomplishments throughout her life. However, Tiffany’s favorite memory is in two pieces. Tiffany was working in Baltimore as an Auditor and she was a homebred out of my old junior jumper Grand Prix mare (who is still kicking it at 29 years old). Tiffany got to watch her be born on FaceTime and getting to ride her for the first time when she broke her was one of the coolest moments. So from getting to see her born, to riding her for the first time, to traveling the country doing the 6 year old jumpers, to her waking Tiffany up outside her bedroom window every morning has to be the best memory all in one for Tiffany.
