Meet Louie the 17-year-old black and white Rat Terrier. Louie is owned and adored by Melissa, who also owns a horse named Winston that we photographed as well this year! Louie was a recuse that Melissa saved some time ago and lives at home with her.

A while ago, Louie had an accident that left him with a broken pelvis (unfortunately, it was more crushed than broken). Although it didn’t get this little guy down. Melissa took him to physical therapy which included swimming. He worked so incredibly hard and made a full recovery! Melissa shares that you would never even know about his accident if you saw him today.

This little guy sure loves his mom and is glued to her side. His favorite treats are Cheetos!
