To Infinity and Beyond, is an 11-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who has a dark mane and tail, with white markings on his face and one left hind leg. This handsome bay is better known as “Woody” around Cedar Haven Stables in Cedar Hill, TX, which is where he calls home. Woody is leased and adored by Julia who trains with Kelsey Marcus at Cedar Haven Stables.

“I came to Texas as an exchange student in July 2021. At Cedar Haven I tried out different horses, looking for one to lease. My trainer, Kelsey Marcus, put me on Woody and it was literally a perfect match!! When I got to Texas from Germany as an exchange student, I was used to nothing else but riding as a dressage rider. Even though Woody wasn’t the first horse I jumped at CHS, he went through the whole process of becoming a jumper with me. I also took him to my first American horse show which was an incredible experience as well! He is just a goofy boy and always tries to do the best he can. And he tends to be super proud of himself.”, shares Julia.

Woody isn’t picky when it comes to treats, he will take anything he can get! Carrots, apples, peppermints, cookies…you name it, he loves it!

Julia is here from Germany for one school year and leasing Woody made perfect sense. Her grandfather rode horses as well but passed away before she was born. At the age of 7, she started asking her mom if she could ride. Ever since then, she’s been riding horses and even has a mare of her own that she got at the age of 11. She still owns her and she’s waiting for Julia back in Germany.
