Meet Karissa HDH, “KoKo”, who’s a 7-year-old Dutch Warmblood Buckskin mare. Koko has a black mane and tail and four black stockings. She is owned and ridden by Whitney McGhee.

Whitney shares how she will never forget the first time she rode Koko. “I had tried horse after horse, not finding a great fit and starting to feel like I never would. And then, I sat on Koko and I felt at home. I knew instantly she was going to be my partner.”

Whitney has owned Koko for about 4 months now as she came across her by accident. She went to try a horse a trainer had, and when he didn’t work out she inquired about the “pretty buckskin” she had seen and asked if she could try her! “The rest was history!”, says Whitney. Koko has not been in the states long. She was imported late in 2021, and Whitney purchased her later that year in November of 2021.
